So gang.....is anyone else super irritated about the complete lack of cameras on SLS? I mean, common it was touted as the 70th reunion to the moon, BILLIONS and YERS over budget, and the Chinese do a better job with external cameras :( SpaceX is clearly the standard with making Rockets fun and enjoyable, although Rocket Lab has awesome mission names :)
@TimHoyer Yup. I also really like the data that RocketLab displays. The launch feed was terrible, wouldn't show altitude, speed, etc.
@Robotbeat Agreed. I left the feed before Stage Sep I was so bummed :(

@TimHoyer my takeaways: media afaik had access to the same engineering they were seeing, so insufficient downlink bandwidth. They should have had altitude/velocity telemetry on screen. Their progress bar was milestone based and not linear/relative to time between milestones.

Still, better than most ESA launches to date.

@olavf @TimHoyer Insane they had virtually no information on the screen, not even during the renderings. And the lack of rocket can in-flight footage was also glaring. Combined with being a night launch, it was a pretty bleak webcast. I’m a little miffed about it. Bright spot was interviewing the Red Team.
