For tonight's Home Lab fun, I set up a Grafana dashboard pulling data from InfluxDB/Home Assistant to display temperature and air quality metrics.

My office is toasty since the door is shut, and I've got my server and desktop running in there. If I open the door, it'll cool off quickly. Doesn't get much hotter than 80 so far, thankfully.

Sensors include: SmartThings Multipurpose (for temps), AirThings View Plus (for Particulates/radon/etc), and Honeywell T10 for humidity.

Building off of this, it's crazy how much particulates are generated while cooking.

House is "open concept". I have this sensor mounted on the wall facing AWAY from the stove and around the corner.

Even with that caveat, if I pull a 24 hr record, I can see "oh that's when the sausages were cooking" and "whoops. microwave popcorn time".
