loving v virginia could potentially be overruled or otherwise nullified. it's based on an interpretation of the 14th amendment and can be removed with a different interpretation of the 14th amendment. it's rank bullshit but we need explicit amendments granting these rights or it'll never be fully codified.

as for how we haven't...we (as a society/citizens of this country) have sat back too long content with temporary rights granted via rulings. we need to get actual amendments to get actual rights. that and we need to fix some of the other ones like making slavery illegal without exception. marriage equality rights, fully ban slavery, fully protect voting rights and get rid of disenfranchisement. amendments are needed for all of this.
