What are reasons to choose another server (and which one)?
🐐 fe80@raphink Isn't it better to be on a small mastodon (performance reason)? I'm pretty sure I read that. And another reason may just be on a regional server
@fe80 Yes, spreading the load and accessing a local server make sense.
Most of my contacts seem to be on topical servers (such as hachyderm.io or fosstodon) and I wonder if there's specific features (there seems to be K8s emojis on hachyderm for ex).
@raphink I've see that too. I can see on documentation, emojis, css theme, and block some subject or domain. Maybe the best solution to look that is install a little instance. They just miss a helm chart for that 😄
@fe80 Nah, I don't want to go down the road of maintaining my own server. I'm too old and busy for that 😁
