Nafnlaus 🇮🇸 🇺🇦@bthjf1 @kathygriffin First off, Tesla is a cash machine. Basically zero debt. Lots of cash, lots of FCF. Only mass-EV maker with solid margins (most have approximately zero margins on EVs, or even negative).
Secondly, servers are only for the app. No remote starting the climate control or the like without servers. Apart from that, it's completely independent. You *can't* make a car rely on constant connectivity, because there *isn't* constant connectivity everywhere.
