What song rocked your morning?

Currently: “I Won’t Back Down”—Tom Petty

Loved this song since it got me through some tough times. Tom Petty died Oct. 2, 2017, seven weeks before my mom’s death on Nov. 22. It made a weird grief connection so Tom Petty is healing for me (esp. “Learning to Fly.”) This song was aloe to the soul as my body is reacting to the anniversary of the final days of my mom’s life on earth.

Your song doesn’t need to be deep…just someone you listened to that you liked!

@JustAmyzing My brain is randomly cycling through Beatles songs this morning. So right now it's Eleanor Rigby.

@DeaconJosh That song is a gut punch every time. I mean, Father MacKenzie’s writing a sermon no one will hear. For whatever reason, that part gets me every time. I’m like, what’s the point? But he dutifully does it anyway.

And, of course, Eleanor Rigby herself is such a tragic character.

“I’ll Follow the Sun” is s fave of mine. “Tomorrow may rain, so I’ll follow the sun.”

Did you hear the 50th anniversary edition of Abbey Road?

@JustAmyzing No, I hadn't heard that. I mostly just stick with my Mom's old vinyl!
@JustAmyzing it's afternoon here, but colors by the black pumas rocks a lot of my mornings.
@JustAmyzing Bleachers "Stop Making This Hurt" Say goodbye like you mean it. I think this song really taps into the universal human experience of grief. Or maybe it's about Twitter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQE0TrJbPAk
