Twitter
Few concerns about restructuring Twitter as a startup, where workers work insane hours (1) at a startup there is a lot of potential upside for workers that does not exist at Twitter servicing $13 billion debt (2) startup hours are not possible for many really important workers...
Safe to assume there are some really critical managers & engineers who have partners & children, and are simply not at the stage of life to easily start working 12+ hours 7 day per week (3) startup hours are unsustainable for almost anyone else: guaranteeing high churn over time
@DavMicRot I’m a senior engineer. I’m 58 - I couldn’t physically work 12 X 7. And I have a knowledge base vital to my firm. You’re spot on - no one who’s marketable will stay.
@DavMicRot Sounds like a living hell in the making...
@DavMicRot Here's hoping those employees decide to bet on themselves not Elon.
@DavMicRot I see: "This
Tweet is not available."
@DavMicRot but even if they click yes, it won’t be valid, per legal expert Elon Musk…
