@crowgirl it probably inevitable that all kind of creeps follow the “herd”. I’ve been thinking that basically one just needs to follow the “Newbie/welcome bot” that’s running at least on my instance or the introduction hashtag to find the prey. “Heyy welcome to Mastodon I have something for you…”.
Good point. I hope the culture of Mastodon and Hachyderm remains pro-FOSS and "knowledge should be free" hacker culture.
We can work for corporations and talk about proprietary software positively, that's fine. But cryptobro bullshit is absolutely oppositional to hacker ideals and must be blocked on sight.
