@janrosenow The real missed opportunity here is implementing these measures during routine maintenance. The cost uplift to install solid wall insulation compared to just renewing existing rendering (AKA external plaster, or stucco) is about 75% LESS than installing solid wall insulation as a standalone project. A 50 year payback becomes a 12.5 year payback. Same story with roof and floor renovations. Carrots, sticks and education are all needed to get this to happen.
