'Micro Men'. This has to be one of the most enjoyable retro computer programs ever created. Acorn vs Sinclair. Please go and watch it!

@KevEdwardsRetro Yup. It's awesome. Even the wife likes it...
@KevEdwardsRetro it's soo good. love see an American version with Jack Tramel and Atari Vs Commodore! Any one know other shows like this, without Steve Jobs?
@KevEdwardsRetro Enjoyed this movie very much, although I had nothing to do with Sinclair or Acorn, I was a Commodore man. Love movies about the history of the Tech revolution. Give Pirates of Silicon Valley a go to see the beginnings of Windows and Apple

@KevEdwardsRetro @peter it’s a great watch and amazing that it brought such a revolution in home computing.

I remember when my school got our first BBC Micro. Amazing times. Saved to watch another time.

@KevEdwardsRetro Sinclair comes out of it looking pretty spike, but I gather it wasn't far from the truth. I really liked Armstrong's depiction of him, Freeman's character was also excellent. Loved it.
@KevEdwardsRetro it's so entertaining, I had to go and check which bits happened (+ it was most of the really entertaining things).
@KevEdwardsRetro I've lost count on how many times I watched this and every time its amazing.
@KevEdwardsRetro I saw it a year or two ago and it was pretty good. I'd actually just been thinking about watching it again.

@KevEdwardsRetro I love this and have watched it so many times. I have no idea what's true or not but I love the cutting of the wire on the prototype sequence!

I think it's on YouTube somewhere a video commentary from a couple of the real people. Hang on, can't leave you hanging like that ...

@KevEdwardsRetro I just started watching this again based on this post. Thanks! (it is all on youtube)

@KevEdwardsRetro Ooh! I totally forgot this existed! Never did get around to watching it. Thanks for the reminder!

Might I recommend Halt and Catch Fire in return? It's definitely got its flaws, and it didn't get a chance to try for a third season once it ironed them out, but the set and setting are so perfect if you're into that era of computing.

@KevEdwardsRetro Fair warning: it does take place in the parallel universe of the North American home computer revolution. I wasn't alive for either, so it's all the same to me, lol.
@KevEdwardsRetro I love rewatching this every few years, usually paired with Pirates of Silicon Valley
@KevEdwardsRetro apparently Sophie Wilson has a cameo in it as the pub landlady!
@KevEdwardsRetro Looking on that still frame I wondered in which alternative universe Lenin was reading a computer magazine.

@KevEdwardsRetro there is a really great commentary by Chris Curry, Steve Furber and Hermann Hauser. They comment on the events and accuracy to reality (there isn't much).
