I should be grading papers.

Which is why I’m writing…

Random Things On My Bucket List:

Visit Australia & New Zealand
Do a real mic drop. With a mic.
Sky-dive. Once.
Wear an 18th century gown

Just a start.
Now back to work.

@jbf1755
Sometimes a little beer and a lot of loud music helps kickstart paper grading.
@jbf1755 It occurs to me that you could check several of those off your list simultaneously if you go to Australia or New Zealand and drop a mic while sky-diving in an 18th-century gown. We're talking Instagram gold here. 😉
@larand THAT would be a capture for Instagram.
@jbf1755 @larand I'd not recommend complete the mic drop part during the dive, maybe save that for when you land b/c it is a mic drive experience. (That was so cheesy).
@jbf1755 Wow! We're still grading papers!
@jbf1755 Still grading papers? No wonder we're having difficulty counting votes!
@jbf1755 Are you gonna skydive wearing an 18th century gown?
@jbf1755 definition come visit Australia and New Zealand. Both amazing places. I moved from Toronto in 1997 to Melbourne. Great place to live. So much to see in Australia--wait until the weather gets a bit better, we're having a lot of rain and flooding at the moment.
@jbf1755 Maybe a sabbatical at one of the universities here or a visiting professorship? There have to be some perks to being an academic lol. My bro-in-law and my wife are both professors and try to have sabbaticals in places that are interesting and new, as long as there is a way to do academic collabs etc. University of Melbourne comes to mind but there are plenty around that must overlap with some of your academic interests. Probably something you already explored!
@jbf1755 I don’t know if this happens at Yale anymore, but in the early 1970s undergrads would applaud at the end of a great class. Also, standing ovations at the end of the last class.

@jbf1755

Anyone can skydive once. Those who survive and #skydive twice are truly special.

@EubieDrew @jbf1755 I’ve done it just under 900 times. What does that make me?
