Tis the season for changing UPS batteries..

Or just tired of the nagging alarms.. "apcupsd - Emergency! UPS batteries have failed. Change them NOW"

Always interesting to try and remember how to update the "BATTDATE" from #pfsense in #apcupsd

1. stop apcupsd service.
2. ssh in and drop to Shell.
3. run apctest (se screenshot)
4. start apcupsd service.
5. Profit!

The one that failed prematurely was not original APC but a no-name (literally), the new is still not original but atleast branded and has worked out on another UPS.
