I've got, hopefully, a fun question for you all.

What's a word that you believe is criminally underused/underrated in the world today?

For my fellow #writers of Mastodon, is it a favourite word that you'll attempt to insert into your work at all costs?

Mine is 'Mosey'.

@TheUtterChrisp The first one that comes to mind is 'thou' (and thee, thy, thine).
Explanation: I like the differentiation between formal and informal. Also, thou ties English to so many other Indo-European languages. It's a very, very old word. I'd rather reserve 'you' for plural use. No, I'm not likely to use it, it would feel forced.

@noam If enough people started using thou/thee/thy/thine etc we could totally bring it back!

But in all seriousness, the history of languages and how they evolve/branch off from each other is really quite fascinating.
