It sounds like a bug as there is nothing in the menus to open it again that I can find.

There are keyboard shortcuts for opening notifications.

With the main interface window selected, press g then press n -- that should make the last column turn into notifications which you should be able to pin again!

Works on Windows. The ? key should bring up the list of shortcuts if you are on a Mac, I think. Good luck!
