@luanabrans thank you, yeah I’ve been using the search but I have to know what I’m looking for. I’m hoping that a more passive method of discovery exists or emerges in time.
@petruzzo Unfortunately that's all I can tell you. I'm very new at this. I've only spent ~2 hours trying to figure this out.
@luanabrans We’re all learning this together and it’s kind of fun that way. The ways in which it is unlike twitter, while clearly aiming to be an alternative, are indeed confounding.
Grace 🖌️ Democracy Advocate@petruzzo @luanabrans I am with y’all in trying to discover things. I have been going through different profiles and clicking through into other interesting people and mastodon instances. It’s fun but probably not going far enough.
@GraceIsPizt @luanabrans so far for me the main drawback has just been this. There doesn’t seem to be too many passive ways to discover cool people and content, which is kind of rough coming from twitter where that’s kind of the whole jam. Maybe that just means finding and following mastodon ‘influencers’ is more important than it is on other networks?
