Given that we are rapidly trying to build community here…

Can I ask you to do two key things:

1) Reshare other people’s posts - so your timeline is rich with other people’s posts for anyone browsing your content to discover.

2) Follow, follow, follow. That goes for following those posting good stuff - and also following those that follow you (as much as practically possible/sensible).

If you do these things, you’ll help us all network up at fast pace - and we all grow our voices & reach. ✌️

@mikegalsworthy greetings Mike, what app are you using for mastodon

@Recluse52
Mastodon app on iPhone... and mas.to server on desktop.

It's a great combo!

@mikegalsworthy @Recluse52

Good suggestions about community-building!

Is there a way in the Mastodon iPhone app to switch between Home, Local, and Federated Timelines? I can't find it..

Metatext for iPhone does have this feature.

@CovidologyAutodidact @mikegalsworthy @Recluse52 I've seen lots of people suggesting that the third party sites are better than the Mastodon app. I'm currently using a browser both on phone and laptop (the latter with the advanced layout enabled, operates a bit more like Tweetdeck than the standard web layout)

Attached: 1 image So many people are having a bad first experience with Mastodon because they're using the official app which is lacking features, doesn't allow image uploads randomly, has random slowness, and doesn't give you easy access to the two most active feeds where you can find people (Local and Federated). Please switch to Metatext, Tusky, or Tooot for a better mobile experience (or even use a browser). Out of the >15k users that joined this week, over 11k are on the official apps.
