For the record, my old computer was six years old, the keys became unreadable eons ago, and for the past few weeks I have been typing with an R key that’s prone to flying off at random moments.

Plus in my last job I had to use my husband’s computer to remote login to the Avid because the driver required updating my OS, which I was convinced would have crashed my computer. It was beyond time.

To its credit, the old MacBook has been functioning quite well despite its flaws.

@RachelSL Midnight blue MacBook Air with the M2 processor. My last one (which was just a 12” MacBook - they were between Air models when I bought it) lasted six years, so I figured I should get the faster processor/better camera in case I have this one that long. I think it was an extra $200.

@RachelSL I enjoy the portability of them, especially when I was lugging it to an office everyday. I considered a Pro for a hot minute but based on what I use it for, the Air is more than enough.
