I cannot quite believe the government is doing this, when we took them to Court last year, to make sure they didn’t! #Palantir https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/nov/13/controversial-360m-nhs-england-data-platform-lined-up-for-trump-backers-firm
Controversial £360m NHS England data platform ‘lined up’ for Trump backer’s firm

Patients will have no say over records going to Palantir, the software giant run by billionaire Republican backer

@djnicholl Did you happen to pick up on Palantir's role in the Homes for Ukraine scheme? There was no way to sign up for the scheme without allowing Palantir to have all your data. Which, given how much you had to disclose (e.g. passport details, household size) would be quite extensive. I don't recall seeing anyone comment on it at the time, but then the media were understandably preoccupied with the war itself, and with the cumbersome application process.
@Munross I’m hosting in #HomesForUkraine not aware of that, not least as I did the visa applications…have you got a source for that story?
@djnicholl We also hosted, we were early, did the application on 18th March. As part of the application we had to ok terms and conditions. I took the time to read them. They included Palantir's role in data management. I don't know if the application forms have changed since, but if applications are still open (I believe they are) then it should be simple to find.

@djnicholl Just looked at the application page again. All I can see now is

"By completing this application, you confirm that both the applicant and the sponsor (if you have a named sponsor) have given permission for their data to be shared and contact details used for the purpose of checks and supporting the sponsor arrangement."

Previously at that point there was an opportunity to see more information about data handling, where Palantir were mentioned.
