The thing about extreme libertarianism (objectivism, non-aggression principle etc) is that it’s a theory about how the world works that’s very appealing to some people.

The problem comes when the theory is tested — to try to make the world actually work that way. Every time it’s tried, the answer comes back: “no, the world does not work that way.”

But it seems each generation has to learn the lesson for itself.
