I'm not sure what Mastodon-level I just unlocked, but I successfully managed (I think?) to create a new server and migrate myself to it.

I've still got a lot to figure out. Meanwhile, anyone in the Cville area is welcome to join me at http://cville.online

@steven I intend to join when it's get its legs under it. I have a non-trivial number of followers, and I'm relatively active—I don't want to fill up your Sidekiq queue with a bunch of jobs just as you're getting it set up.
@waldoj sounds great, and I look forward to reaching that point
@steven When blogging was new, I wanted to set up something like this for Charlottesville, but for blogs. There was no reasonable way to do that (the closest thing possible, a few years later, was installing Movable Type or WordPress and creating accounts for others, but those wouldn't have been separate blogs), and I eventually settled for running the cvilleblogs.com aggregator. That was fine, and valuable at the time, but you're doing now basically what I wanted to do 20 years ago!
