Some Palaces of Carrara set up for tonight. Another example of a game I learned on boardgamearena that I saught out to purchase afterwards.

Also a game where I fully understand the rules, but have yet to grasp the strategy of - almost every time I play, I think I'm doing alright and then my friend crushes me by > 100 pts!

@ofdiceandmen Palaces of Carrara has a special place in my heart! It’s the first game we wanted to play so much that we bought it in a foreign language. It was early in our burgeoning romance with boardgaming and was our introduction to the silky smooth games of Kramer and Kiesling. So glad you found a copy!
@qeek oddly enough this is the second copy I've purchased! The first one was in German and I purchased it for my friend who destroys me in it every play, this second one I stumbled across in a collection sale a few months ago. It's a unique game and I prefer the first edition to the newly released one
@ofdiceandmen I had forgotten I'd played this until I saw your great pictures. I've enjoyed my games of this. I felt a bit overwhelmed during the rules explanation but once I was into it I was okay. I like the bright colours & the - is it a rondel? - system with the cubes was a fun puzzle. Thank you for sharing your impressions. Reminded me I would like to play this again.
