This is not the result any Television political analyst was forecasting. This is an extraordinary moment. Respecting the will of the people doesn't get Republicans blindsided like this. It matters a great deal what the outcome is, but whatever it is Republicans better damn well absorb the lesson the people gave them. More Fascism, less democracy, and more lies ain't what people want.
