Hello there.
It's working on a lot less technical power than the advertiser/billionaire funded sites. It has slow moments. It sometimes pays to switch between web browser and phone app if slow or glitchy. Mostly it works fine. On phone handy to have another app as well as Mastodon. I use Tusky for Android. I cannot remember what the best iPhone app is called.
I haven't deleted my personal Twitter account as yet but am keen to in time.

Also make sure the 👁️ icon is open and 'show all media' selected in preferences. There are more safe-guarding tools here.
