@emptywheel catches this issue before #SpecialMaster Dearie in the #Trump #MarALago suit: a dispute over a "compilation" document featuring both classified docs & nonclassified post-45-presidency docs.

The *existence* of this "compilation" is perhaps more significant than the dispute over its status, since "it shows he was commingling stolen classified documents with his ongoing affairs after leaving the White House."

Trump's Secret Document, with the Post-Administration Pollster Communication, in His Desk Drawer - emptywheel

A document found in a desk drawer in Trump's Mar-a-Lago office shows he was commingling stolen classified documents with his ongoing affairs after leaving the White House. The document gets investigators far closer to showing that Trump was using government secrets for his own personal affairs even after he left the White House.

@IntlLawGnome @emptywheel I reblogged this, but also wanted to note it’s possible for a doc to contain both classified and unclassified information. Sure, the document will be classified at the highest level of classification, but it could contain info portion marked unclassified (U). I don’t know the specifics of this “compilation” document, but this seemed relevant to point out.
@amicus @IntlLawGnome This is necessarily 6 docs, bc of dates (there's one page over which Trump claimed a-c).
