@Roshanamn I’ve not jumped ship. My hope is Musk will grow bored of his new toy and just sell it on again.
But if too many of the nice folk I follow leave Twitter, then I’ll have to follow them too. It’s all about critical mass as with any network system.
FB for example retains the critical mass - only like 1% of my friends have left it for good. (Though I’ve largely cut FB posting out of my life…)
@Dr_BellaR the same as me. There was a time I unfollowed almost all medic accounts for a few years, I’ve since refollowed some but limit my interactions & engage only on one or two topics that I feel my limited time/brain space need to focus on.
I found self policing and limiting helpful, but not easy at times esp as I don’t like to block people (I don’t want a silo)
nice to come somewhere where the main focus seems to be convivial social engagement though - hence mastodon
i have a relatively strong following
on Twitter but I’ve also been on
social media a LONG time since
the 90s and I’ve learned to never
get attached to any platform—-
things move on and so shall we.
ohh you did! 😍😊
