baguettelady@fudgesiclesxd @awgonnerman There have been cases of cops killing Black and brown kids with nerf guns in the US because they 'thought it was a real gun'. We never let my kid use his nerf guns outside because of this, and I have a friend who is Native American doesn't let her kids play with them outside either.

@fudgesiclesxd When my kids were little here in the US they played with brightly colored nerf and water guns, but that was usually only at outdoor parties with friends I think. But when I was a kid back in the 80s I had a box of very really looking toy guns. The big difference is that I lived on a farm.
