The #UnderdogDevs program is looking for mentors. That's been the biggest bottleneck with the program.

If you're interested contact Rick: https://twitter.com/RwoltX/status/1591605845611409409

If you have questions about what it's like being a mentor, let me know.

@CodenameTim You’re a mentor?! That’s so cool! I love that program and Rick ❤️ I sadly don’t have a lot of time to mentor but I wish I did
@joshdholtz Numbers-wise, it's 1.5 hours a week for 13 weeks. It's an hour of pair programming, then some prep time and summarization.
@CodenameTim I think it would be totally doable in a few years! Currently have two kids at home while working full time and fastlane so I could maybe find 1.5 hours but I’m already socially exhausted and. It sure if I could have the right energy to mentor ☹️

@joshdholtz No worries, it was more of just publicizing the time requirements. It's a lot less time than people might expect and I wanted to be clear with that.

However, that emotional investment is high! Having the right energy and mindset each week is difficult.

UD also can use sporadic talks with people. Maybe an AMA panel with Rick in a town hall format would work?

@joshdholtz I'll stop selling now 😅

@CodenameTim Ha! No no no, this is good 🙂

I would totally be down for an doing any one off event thingies for now if it helps! I’ll reach out to Rick at sometime about it 💪

@CodenameTim folks like you are the reason barriers are broken 😎 Thank you for all you do!! Definitely life changing stuff you got going on ;)
@Jrz813 I appreciate the kind words! Thank you, my Sunday is off to a great start.

@CodenameTim I do have a lot of questions. If you have a few minutes…

First, what’s the time commitment?

@pixelscience it's about 1.5-2 hours a week. It's a 60 minute pairing session, but you need to prep beforehand and then reflect afterwards. There are town hall meetings which are one hour, once per month. They aren't mandatory, but it's good to attend, especially to support the mentees if they are demoing something.
