While we are talking about alternatives to things - I recommend the following alternatives to Amazon -

1. Books - I use Blackwells. Often their prices are better and they sometimes have better access to titles published overseas.

2. Classical music - Presto Music or Europadisc. Presto has an app so you can listen to any title you purchase that way. Richard at Europadisc provides exceptional customer service.

3. Nearly anything else - eBay. I try to use small independent traders.

@doctorcdf I have NEVER ordered from Amazon. I typically go to the company or brand's site and order directly from there. Or from Best Buy for electronics that I am comfortable ordering online.

@bsnavely In the UK, the best place to order electronics is John Lewis or Richer Sounds.

@doctorcdf 🙌🙌🙌 I’m always telling people to switch to eBay bc it’s mostly small business and independent sellers.. I might have a bias as an eBay seller though lol
