I have a problem where I'm constantly starting new stories in #Rimworld so let's go

#liveblogs

this is the first time I've ever progressed far enough to have a mechanitor and a fabricator and I'm a little overwhelmed

I've got Ideology and Biotech and they're very cool and uhh very complicated in tandem if you play transhumanist! but I gotta play transhumanist because (checks notes) I'm me

also my favorite part of this map is the giant paved lot with, to the south, a loose herd of tiny ancient shopping carts
this is the most horrifying and intriguing endgame condition. I've never seen this before but I'm very into the idea of taking my five favorite colonists and starting from scratch to try to find a horrifying alien superintelligent AI sleeping somewhere on my planet
oh my god do I kidnap a space vampire named Goblin and force him to turn one of us using genetic implantation
obviously if someone offers me space vampires I take it with both hands
converting my whole town to transhumanism (just like in real life)
I think probably if I had to guess this is a normal bedroom with no supernatural creatures in it
Something I love about Rimworld, and that I wish more games/media would do, is that there's not just a developer-maintained wiki but an actual fiction primer for better understanding and writing about the world and terminology, available right in the menu. It's written in a cute, "so you've just woken up from the past!" way, too.
