Eureka, CA forcibly herded its 300 Chinese residents onto ships bound for San Francisco. This became known as the “Eureka method” and led to Humboldt County boasting of being “Chinese free.”

Abbott and DeSantis have since adopted the Eureka method.

@originalspin it never ceases to amaze me how the worst people turn that phrase "those that do not learn from history are bound to repeat it" on its head because they take the worst parts and perpetuate them
