Ok...I am just going to say it. I don't think anyone should start with x86 assembly. My 2 cents: jump directly into x86_64. Sorry not sorry. Feel free to fight me on this. :)

@warlock LOL...of course. Each journey is ok. ARM still lies ahead for me. Right now, that is off the edge of the map!
@matt_pardo I need to bite the bullet and get back into coding. I used to really enjoy it when I did it professionally. but I am afraid of how rusty I have become.
@warlock Jump in! I used to be a programmer too but that was a long time ago. I jumped back into coding for fun last year. It is a blast to tinker with and there are SOOOOO many resources now. It is very rewarding for me to create something again...even if it is just a little utility.
