According to instances.social, infosec.exchange is the 26th largest instance by number of accounts.
@jerry But #1 in awesomesauceness!
@ladyparabellum that's what I like to think. The people here are AMAZING
@jerry infosec.exchange will be even better in a few days - I wouldn't be me if I didn't host my own instance, right? ;) Lighten your load a bit maybe.. Seriously, though, you've done a fantastic job if it!
@ladyparabellum The fediverse is designed to be federated. You're always welcome here, but I understand the itch to run your own instance...
@jerry I've just run my own usenet server from the beginning to current day, seems like I'd be remiss if I didn't do the same with a few fediverse applications.
@jerry I'm going to start with just a private machine, get my feet wet. But if there comes a time when it makes sense - I have 2x 40 core Xeons and a half a dozen 16 core Xeons here. And a 5gbit/sec symmetric fiber connection. 40gbit fiber floor, and 6x 10gbit/sec fiber links from the firewall. (also a 16 core Xeon) All the Xeons have 2x 10gbit SFP+ and 6x gigabit copper.

@ladyparabellum @jerry

I host mine on a 12600k with a 2500/1000 connection :P (A few people like me could have a 10000/2000 connection for 35 euro/month, but the Italian TIM ISP sucks and does not want to implement IPV6, ironically they had it in testing mode but they REMOVED it  )

@fuomag9 @ladyparabellum it’s amazing how ISPs on one hand complain about lack of ipv4 addresses, but then are dragging their feet on supporting ipv6.

@jerry @ladyparabellum Oh in this case they have A LOT of ipv4 addresses left (Something like a million) as they bought them a long time ago when they were cheap and they are holding them, so this is probably one of the reasons why they don't want to implement it

Also one of the other big ISP we have here (Vodafone) does not have ipv6

Until Iliad arrived in Italy only Fastweb and a few smaller ones were deploying it, and Fastweb still uses 6rd
