How do I follow a hashtag? Thanks.
@sunnywillow you have to be on an instance that has upgraded to mastodon 4.0. It’s not officially released yet, and so many instances haven’t done the upgrade. Since I have the Infosec.exchange instance laid out on the operating table, I decided to do the upgrade.
jbowen@jerry @sunnywillow The instance I'm on is 4.0.0rc2 and I'm not seeing a way to follow hashtags, but it's quite likely that I'm missing it.
Luca@sunnywillow @jbowen @jerry if you’re on an app, it maybe lacking support from the app itself (e.g. Metatext). Access via the browser, search for an hashtag, click on it, top right you’ll see the follow icon (same as for users). Do the follow, enjoy tagged toots in your timeline!
Dan@jbowen @jerry @sunnywillow depends on your interface. Toot! Is the only iOS app I’ve had it work on, but on mobile you’re looking for the person+ icon
