2024: Democratic candidates would be better off embracing Biden and what he's accomplished and using it to campaign on. They failed to do that for Obama and ACA because they feared the GOP moderates and lost bigly. Mistake. Dems need to boast, not cower. Voters respond favorably.
@KimberleyJohnson Welcome to the #Fediverse, Kimberley. Glad you made it. Enjoy the new frontier. Lots to see and learn here.
@shoq Are you involved with the site?

@KimberleyJohnson @Green_Footballs and I are bringing up our own instance as soon as we decide whether it's Mastodon or another. We already have the latter up and running and ready for signups, we're on pause until we decide.

Mastodon is stable, but has and will present numerous issues going forward. So many being so frustrated with its UX is just one of them.

@KimberleyJohnson @Green_Footballs

Apologies to anyone reading this and not knowing what UX means. It's software-speak for the "User eXperience."

@KimberleyJohnson It's confusing for twitter folks coming from a centralized to a decentralized world. The concept of "site" does exist, in that you need a server to get on the highway, but so long as that server is fast enough, you're mostly choosing a site for their particular driving experience. They are all using the same roads to do mostly of the same things, just as your federated email clients do.
@KimberleyJohnson Finally, a good outcome from having no GOP moderates anymore :)
@KimberleyJohnson I think the big lesson is to not underestimate Biden. I wrote him off as a has been when he ran this last time, but he keeps proving me wrong. I have decided that you cannot survive in Washington as long as he has without being a damn good politician.

@KimberleyJohnson

Joe Biden is a great President. He gets things done like a machine.

@KimberleyJohnson I agree. We must begin our support now.
