@RewildScotland difficult to bring in an apex predator to an ecosystem. They would also likely attack cattle and pets. That happened in the USA in places where they were reintroduced. I understand the reasons for it but there are also reasons against it.
@sonaghan@RewildScotland It’s true that it is complicated but we successfully live among them here in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, apex predators have proven time and again their importance to the ecosystem and, it can be done. @RewildScotland having lived places with lynx, wolves, and bears I'm fine with it. But it means being able to easily take a rifle with you when out in the wilds, and I'm not sure Scotland is ready for rifle racks in Halfords
