Keith HandyI get notifications that posts have been "favorited" (which I guess is nice even though I haven't written anything good here yet), but there's no indication of that on the post itself; I guess I'd expect to see a number by the star, or something to that effect.
Russ Hoffman@KeithHandy Maybe depends on your client? I’m using the mastodon iOS app and it shows a count. But at the same time, not knowing the count would be nice too — so you’re not subconsciously seeking approval.
Geert Bevin@KeithHandy I specifically chose a client that doesn't show a count, I find that it makes me treat everything with the same attention as opposed to unconsciously scan for the most popular ones
