Questions for journalists and others on here who regularly give interviews, do podcasts etc: Will you still be giving out your Twitter account as a way for people to find you? If not, what will you emphasize instead?

Asking because apparently NPR employees are being told to no longer give out their birdsite accounts in interviews.

Me, over here wishing I hadn't put it on my business cards.
Repeating myself from down thread but if you have WordPress, you can set up your own linktree style page with the Social Link Pages Plugin. That's what runs https://kitoconnell.com/discover

“NPR issues internal guidance on Twitter: don't advertise your handle, but don't delete it because someone could take it and impersonate you.”

@keribla @kitoconnell There's always LinkTree type options.
@73rdnemesio @keribla if you have a WordPress you can roll your own with the Link Pages plugin, which is how I did https://kitoconnell.com/discover

For interviews and stuff, I generally use my LinkedIn account -- Twitter for readers. That's likely to change. I don't know to what just yet. I really like it here, but we'll have to see.

I really, really, really like it here.

@kitoconnell Some talented media people do not need the bird, their audience knows how to find them... users with fewer followers I don't think will miss twitter... time to reinvent and strike out in new direction
@kitoconnell oh that's funny. Litterally on the drive home I heard an NPR interview and someone gave their twitter handle at the end.
@kitoconnell I'm glad they're taking steps to stop feeding the beast.
