Sara Reine

The current draft of my #fantasy doorstopper #novel, #AtopTheTreesBeneathTheMountains, is right at 233,582 words as I ease into drafting new stuff today. This is one novel, but I'm on the third book, the eighth part, and the seventieth chapter. Yep.

I've never written anything like this before and it's hard to imagine doing it again! It's so much work! My longest book before this was 145,000 words.

@mverant My agent doesn't represent me for fantasy, but I'm going to see if I can find a co-agent to represent this book. I'll confer with them as to whether they think we could land it somewhere with tradpub as a single title...someone out there prints the big fantasy books! If not, it can be split into a trilogy. And if it fails on submission (or anywhere before), I'll just self-publish in one big book the way I want!
