@foufoutos @ReverseModule @Gargron All I did was set up a list to facilitate link-verification. Seems like some server admins are blocking link verification. I've received harassing messages accusing me of being a "scammer" and demanding that I stop updating the list. Some server admins are having private conversations about de-federating servers- these conversations have spilled into public view by mistake. The evidence is there.
@DataDrivenMD @foufoutos @[email protected] I don't think there's anything wrong with the list, or verification. The fediverse is a big, diverse place. A lot of people find what you're doing useful, some don't. Don't let it command what you do.
@Gargron @foufoutos @ReverseModule Thank you for weighing in. I really do appreciate it. While the fediverse is big and diverse, your opinion carries a lot of weight. I'd like to set up a quick conversation (perhaps offline) to get your thoughts on how I might be able to make the project in-line with existing Mastodon standards. I already have some potential solutions that would address concerns about link verification, for example. I could set up instances for individuals & organizations, etc.
