Dear famous people (50,000+ followers?) moving over to Mastodon,

Once you've chosen a server, please email the admin before joining, to give them a chance to bolster the server! If you don't, the people from Twitter following you there will probably break it.

@sarahlefton Yes, that would be ideal in the long-run! But I don't think we can expect individuals to make that kind of investment before they've actually tried out the network and decided whether they like it, and I can't begrudge people who are so new that they don't realise that the server will go down as soon as they tweet that they've set up an account. :D So, this is the best option for famous noobs I think?
