What is your go to everyday dinner? I'm tired of making pasta and sandwiches so your ideas are welcome!

@Grin I made rice on Monday and am going to fry up the leftovers on Friday. Also, homemade bean & cheese burritos are good. Other than that, I do pasta and instant noodles regularly.

Would love more ideas for dinners. Especially budget-friendly ideas!

@icekitsune yeah!! Pasta never fails to me, but recently I've wonder what else to do specially cuz I've been on quite a tight budget x3

@Grin I'm on a very tight budget, myself!

Another recipe I enjoy is "Mini-Shepherds' Pies". Cook up some ground meat on a skillet with some onion (and/or desired veggies - I also add corn, green beans, and diced carrots), divide it in a cupcake pan. Add cheese, top with mashed potatoes. I usually put it in the oven at 450° for a few minutes to help the cheese melt.

For one person, it yields enough leftovers for a couple weeks.

Found it on a "Meal plan for under $20" blog post.

@Grin (Of course, "under $20" is relative, and probably unrealistic even for a single person)
@icekitsune This sounds great, do you get the dough for the pie and all? Is that cheap pre-made ?
@Grin Oh, no dough is needed. Shepherd's/Cottage Pie is basically meat cooked with veggies, and topped with mashed potatoes!
@icekitsune Sounds pretty good! Thanks for sharing I will try it! Do you buy the potates fresh or u get box mash?
@Grin Either boxed or the pouches. Fresh potatoes are good, too, but I don't have a masher.
@Grin shakshouka rules!
also one of the good recipes I have is oven-baked chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies!
