If you are autoposting from Twitter to here you might want to consider some of the following:
1) Not doing it; or
2) Putting up a CW (content warning) that it is a Twitter crosspost.
Mastodon isn't Twitter or a Twitter replacement so your crossposted tweets risk breaking conventions such as alt-text for images and use of content warnings.
@respros yes, I’m really appreciating the content warnings to be fair. It’s the bombardment of negativity on Twatter that is completely exhausting
@sutchfun @respros yeah, I'm hoping a convention around content warnings appears for climate related stuff, it would be nice to be able to have more control over what to read around it
@paulcox @sutchfun The best thing to do is to think of it like a subject line. Took me a few days to realise this.
@respros @paulcox yep agreed Paul. I am very guilty of posting about climate (feel like it’s my duty) but will add content warnings 😳
@sutchfun @respros yeah, I find it a tricky balance between it being important to know what's going on and it being too much. I feel like working in the field, I already know how bad it is 😅
@paulcox @respros I am surprised you haven’t unfollowed me to date eek 😬
