an open-air restaurant famous for their bak kut teh (pork rib soup) and steamed fish. the thing about travelling: it gifts you an experience that is extraordinary to you, but probably mundane to locals. being able to have my sense provoked was such a treat. to think another world exists just an hour away from home.

what makes a photo worth capturing? i don’t know. i just take them when my eyes naturally follow a subject for a while. saw them walking along the coast, and the older lady was picking things up from the beach. what was she picking? so many stories we could possibly tell from one picture.

obligatory chinatown shot at bangkok. am not really good at taking photos at night or editing it properly so here’s an attempt:
I always feel like a thief as a street photographer, stealing someone’s moment.

(the iphone is actually great for street photography because it is so readily in our hands and it is so quick to take a picture…sometimes moments can’t wait for a camera. i just wish it is a little less harsh?)

apparently the best pad kra pow in bangkok, cooked by only one uncle. (this is one of those times i took photos with both the camera and the phone, and it was the phone that captured the moment.)

@wynlim don't disagree, but now I think I value the fact I can carry my phone anywhere, and it starts up in an instance so I can start taking photos.
that and also the fact that phones record more contextual metadata of the photo taking itself like geo location, etc.
haven't seen any camera that comes close
