OmarLots of Mastodon instances are struggling with the heavy influx of users. Twitter was the same in the early days. The Fail Whale, was something you’d see on a regular basis. Gives it a chance, things will get better.
Alessandro Baffa@omar Yeah, but Twitter has a company with employees who work to improve it. Mastodon team is one dev. The servers are just random guys who keep them up for free (or subscriptions). I don't see scaling happening fast. We will more likely see other protocols emerge (like @lensterxyz based on Lens protocol).

@omar oh my...i used "guys" as gender neutral, but I probably it's only an American English connotation, not really British English.
