This system suffers from a couple of key flaws if it wants to really replace twitter.

1. The obvious initial complexity - but that can be over come.

2. It appears that the lack of an algo (evil as they are) combined with the difficulty in searching for content by anything other than hashtag, leads to a much less dynamic growth of new follows/followers

@FirefighterGeek No doubt, that said... the Algo is often the bane of content creators as much as a good thing. I'm not looking to replace twitter honestly, but I'll hang here for a while to get a feel for the community as it grows.

@EvanCurrie I agree, though I'm stretched thin as far as social media goes, so it has a limited time to catch my attention and hold it.

@FirefighterGeek Entirely fair. I really only pay consistent attention to FB myself, while keeping a toe in the rest. That's just due to where my readers tend to be connected to me though.
