A lot less dramatic but I took the empire builder up to wisconsin dells and back recently and there was some great fall color
@prehensile Love the Empire Builder! The Amtrak lines in general have some amazing treks you can go down and I love the space. A few of my friends and me will take the Amtrak for trips and play a ton of board and card games in lounge area

@unspun @prehensile The Empire builder line itself takes a really nice tour through the northern parts of the US. Paying the money for an overnight for a Roomette or Bedroom is completely worth it as well if you're planning a nice trip
@kirkmanbrandon @prehensile I’ve wanted to take the Coastal Starlight (?) train down the coast, but now I am more intrigued by the Empire Builder. Probably because I’ve driven up and down the coast much more than I have across the top o’ the country. Thanks for the info! I didn’t know it came to Seattle.
