I spoke about this a few days ago, but since there are so many new folks here: Mastodon has lists. And they're useful. You need to already be following people but you can put them into lists and then just call up that list. So, I have a list for journalists, and for tech law people. And it's super useful for me.

Unfortunately, lists are not currently public or shareable, though.

But test out the list feature to make Mastodon more useful.

@mmasnick Wonder whether there's a hack to export a list as a CSV so I could import it as followers or a list of my own.

@rasmus @jeffjarvis i don't mind that so much. I'm not making lists with the expectations that it's SOLELY about that topic. But just so I can see what people in those areas are talking about.
@mmasnick @jeffjarvis Yes, works a bit like social circles, and hints to what kind of conversations are relevant in those particular spheres. I'd be interested to separate my streams by language as well. A polyglot UI would be nice.
