@terrajobst Yes, it does. I moved recently with all my followers.
@terrajobst I might move again to https://dotnet.social once we get all things sorted out with @styx31 (who is the admin there).

Mastodon hosted on dotnet.social
@bitbonk @styx31 the one thing that concerns me about Mastodon is that most severs seem to be operated as a hobby…
@terrajobst @styx31 We want to change that for https://dotnet.social @shanselman is already on board

Mastodon hosted on dotnet.social
@bitbonk @styx31
Hey @shanselman. Could you elaborate what that would mean?
@terrajobst @bitbonk @shanselman It's still early, but maybe move to a hosted provider, embark with volunteer moderators, raise sponsorship for hosting. Maybe ask for help from #dotnetfdn? Or even transfer ownership? Here we are.
@bitbonk @styx31 @terrajobst we are just brainstorming, Immo. Want to find a way to sustainably manage. Similar to the C# discord. Ideally pay for the hosting at masto and have moderators
@shanselman @terrajobst Is there a disadvantage to self-host your own Mastodon instance for a few friends, assuming I’m able to maintain it? I’m a bit afraid that as new, less peaceful instances pop up over time, people will start blocking small servers by default.
