Do women exaggerate discrimination, complain too much, seek special favours, & do feminists want to usurp men?
In this US public opinion survey by @AngieMaxwell & Shields,
African American men are the least sexist.

32% of white women in the USA endorse “modern sexism”.
(vs 16% of African American women)
Public opinion surveys on gender typically ask about presumed competence, e.g. are men better political leaders?
This ignores an important social phenomenon: anti-feminism.
This is a backlash against women demanding too much, getting too many privileges, and usurping men.
I think white southerners are especially resentful, because college-educated, high-earning and outspoken feminists now challenge their traditional patriarchal ideals.
But black women have always worked - due to slavery, segregation, discrimination and men’s low wages.
Plus black women are still the lowest paid.
So there is less confrontation.
Modern sexism.
@draliceevans The difference in attitudes between the groups is stark. The US is indeed a very different country to UK/ Europe.
I remember looking at consumption patterns by ethnicity in the uk and seeing only minor differences. In the US comparing the different ethnicities is comparing different countries (different foods, media consumption, etc…)
