I've reached that point where I'm quite enjoying getting to grips with the features that are new to me.
I like that I can dip into a larger timeline as I please and see posts from folks I don't follow, as well having my own curated timeline.
I prefer that method of discovery, along with the toots y'all have Boosted into my timeline, over the all-seeing algorithm that so often runs on unpleasantness.
I'm also a big fan of the content wrapper/ content warning feature. Even just for posts like this one; I'm conscious that folks who've been here years might be bored of seeing newbies trying to explain or praise features to other newbies (though everyone has actually been very welcoming), and using the CW feature allows me to feel like less of a pest 😁
The "Unlisted" visibility scope setting also lets me add to threads without feeling I'm cluttering up your timeline!
